About the Role

Maramoja Enterprises is seeking a highly qualified Legal Consultant to provide legal guidance and support to the organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the company adheres to both local and international legal requirements, including contract management, compliance, dispute resolution, and risk mitigation. The role demands a deep understanding of corporate law and the ability to navigate complex legal issues across borders.

Key Responsbilities

  • Provide legal advice on corporate and business matters, including mergers, acquisitions, and intellectual property.

  • Draft, review, and negotiate contracts to safeguard the company’s interests.

  • Ensure compliance with local and international laws related to governance, industry standards, and employment law.

  • Identify legal risks and recommend strategies to mitigate potential liabilities.

  • Represent the company in legal disputes, liaising with external counsel when necessary.

  • Oversee the preparation and maintenance of legal documents, policies, and corporate records.

  • Advise on international legal changes and ensure compliance with regulations across jurisdictions.

Qualification Requirements

  • A degree in Law (LLB, LLM, or equivalent) from an accredited institution.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, compliance, and contract management.

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.

  • Procient in drafting and reviewing legal documents.

  • In-depth understanding of both local and international legal frameworks.

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.

  • Bar admission or equivalent legal certication is a plus.

  • Adaptable to changes in both local and international legal landscapes.
